What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Conduction thorough analysis and comparisons of competitor vehicles to understand their strengths and weaknesses in terms of performance, technology, features and overall customer experience
  • Organizing and executing ride and drive events within Scout and within the VW Group to evaluate the performance, handling, comfort and other aspects of prototype vehicles or new technologies developed by the company
  • Gathering data from test drives and benchmarking exercise, and analyzing it to identify areas for improvement or potential areas of innovation
  • Collaborating with design, engineering and marketing teams to incorporate feedback from benchmarking and ride and drives experiences into the development process, ensuring that products meet customer expectations and market demands
  • Assessing new technologies, components and materials for potential integration into future vehicle designs, based on their performance and suitability observed
  • Documenting findings, observations and recommendations from activities and presenting them to relevant stakeholders within the company for decision-making purposes
  • Owning, steering and maintaining the Scout benchmark fleet
  • Owning and steering the Scout ride & drive alignment meeting
  • Support concept team by deriving whole vehicle attributes / top requirements for upcoming “what-if”-studies

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Here's what else you'll bring: 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical requirements management, with a preference for experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in benchmark analysis
  • Experience in managing/maintaining a vehicle fleet and process creations of requesting, renting and buying new cars
  • Experience in coordination and conducting ride and drives
  • Solid understanding of vehicle development and products tailored to automotive-specific requirements, with a focus on enhancing delivery quality, security, and developer experience.
  • Experience in developing and testing products that meet automotive-grade standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ownership, self-motivation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and effective communication abilities. You should be able to develop and thrive in working relationships.
  • Proven ability to work in a truly cross-functional and global environment.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $110,000-$130,000

Internal leveling code: IC9
