What you’ll do
In this role, you will oversee critical components of our technology infrastructure that supports payments and subscriptions. You can expect to:
- Help develop technology roadmaps and architecture documentation.
- Manage resource allocation efficiently, collaborating with leadership teams to secure necessary assets.
- Handle the prioritization of the technical backlog to ensure timely progression of projects.
- Maintain system integrity and operational requirements, including service level agreements and security protocols.
- Ensure the component or system is healthy and usable and coordinate efforts to address issues when they arise.
- Lead a team of up to 10 engineers, providing mentorship and support to foster their growth and ensure high performance.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Extensive experience in managing online payments and subscription platforms.
- Proficiency in Go, with the capability to work in Ruby-on-Rails or JavaScript.
- Intermediate experience in IP networking, including both low-level sockets programming and high-level application layer programming.
- Ability to lead system design for AWS-based microservices that integrate with multiple systems, whether internally owned or third-party.
- A passion for writing well-architected, readable, and maintainable code.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong sense of ownership, outstanding problem-solving skills, a continuous desire to learn, and a positive disposition.
