International Travel Security Manager
The International Travel Security Manager serves a critical role in overseeing the safety and security of Anduril employees during business-related travel and supporting the business on international security risk assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, risk assessment and crisis response. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing travel security policies and procedures, providing guidance to travelers, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols in various travel destinations.
Reporting to the Head of Global Physical Security, this person will work cross-functionally within the company to mitigate physical security risk as it is related to travel that is supporting business objectives. This person should have a successful record in travel security, be a person that enjoys the challenge of building operations from scratch and be a person who wants to grow with a department tasked with solving complex security problems for Anduril. This role has shared on-call responsibilities and may occasionally work during non-business hours, weekends and/or holidays in response to safety or security events impacting Anduril.
International travel, requiring use of Valid Passport, may occur up to 25% of the time. Based in Costa Mesa, CA HQ.
Here's what you’ll do:
- Track and review all international business travel in coordination with our Travel Manager
- Maintain a real-time database of all employees on international business travel (through SaaS Program and integrations with existing platforms)
- Create standards and policies to advise travelers on personal protection measures and actions tailored to the location of travel.
- Conduct pre-and-post travel security briefings and debriefings.
- Ensure that international travelers are aware of and comply with the most current antiterrorism/force protection requirements set forth by Combatant Commands, Country teams, and other responsible authorities.
- Disseminate antiterrorism/force protection awareness information to travelers, key decision-makers, and planners.
- Complete Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) requests for international travelers as required.
- Ensure US DoD Sponsored travelers meet the Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) training and other requirements as established by the Combatant Command and Country teams.
- Develop and provide tailored threat briefings based on available intelligence reports and open source information.
- Prepare tailored Force Protection Plans for international travelers.
- Coordinate with country team representatives to ascertain current real-time threat information.
- Manage the program around travel security and associated devices and personnel.
- Coordinate and direct international security team members in support of clients under duress
- Identify and prioritize emergency situations as they develop internationally.
- Possess working knowledge of multiple GPS tracking devices and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve possible technical issues.
- Be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with a diverse group of people including CEO’s, internal stakeholders, support staff, international security operators, international law enforcement and international operation centers.
- Conduct regular client interface and account management related functions while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Work in collaboration with the Physical Security team to build out an internal crisis management team (inclusive of standards and tabletop training exercises for relevant stakeholders)
Here’s who you are:
- Experience conducting risk assessments in accordance with Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security standards and preparing detailed reports of findings for review, approval, and/or mitigation.
- Experience associated with the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and military service publications, such as:
- DoD 2000.12, DoD Antiterrorism Program
- DoDI O-2000.16 Vol. I, DoD Antiterrorism Program Implementation: DoD Antiterrorism Standards
- DoDI O-2000.16 Vol. II, DoD Antiterrorism Program Implementation: DoD Force Protection Condition (FPCON) System
- DoD Antiterrorism Guide
- DHS Risk Management Process: An Interagency Security Committee Standard
- DODI 3020.45, Mission Assurance Construct and associated Risk Assessment, Antiterrorism, Physical Security Benchmarks
- Completion of Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) Level II certification within the last three years. If outside of three years, will be required after onboarding.
- Experience developing and presenting tailored threat briefings for international locations.
- Completion of DHS Risk Management Process: An Interagency Security Committee (ISC) Standard training will be required after onboarding, if uncertified.
- Experience in deployment and management of SaaS Offerings (specifically related to travel security and briefings)
- Experience working in a fast paced, technology-based company is preferred.
- U.S. Person status (US permanent resident or US citizen) is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
US Salary Range$114,000—$171,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
