The Team
The Collaboration Systems team configures, maintains, and secures the systems that power CZI’s employee collaboration tools. As a Collaboration Systems Technical Program Manager, you will work cross-functionally within CZI’s Central Tech teams and across the organization to deploy modern solutions that drive the work behind our mission.
This role falls under the Corporate Infrastructure team within Central Tech, which is responsible for the IT and collaboration infrastructure used across the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
What You'll Do
Lead the strategic planning and implementation of collaboration solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Shape and drive long-term strategy for collaboration tools and solutions, leveraging data-driven insights, user needs, organizational goals, and risk analysis.
Act as end-user subject matter expert for tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Slack, offering training, support, and creating accessible documentation to enhance employee performance.
Perform needs assessments with stakeholders, guiding tool selection, deployment, and prioritizing requirements for maximum efficiency and productivity.
Facilitate smooth change management processes for successful user adoption, continuously identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
Drive workflow, efficiency, and productivity enhancements by understanding business processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Monitor collaboration system performance, seek feedback for ongoing optimization, and remain informed about technology trends.
Manage relationships with vendor partners for end-to-end tool support, ensuring the tools meet organizational needs and standards.
What You'll Bring
At least 5 years in program or project management, ideally within end-user support or collaboration systems.
Experience in solutions engineering with end-user focus in collaboration tools like Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and Slack and their AI features.
Exceptional project management skills, encompassing planning, scheduling, and execution.
Skilled in navigating complexity, with a strong aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and analytical thinking, effectively managing ambiguity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic towards end users, driven to create seamless experiences, and have insight into the evolution of IT systems.
Proactive and eager to deepen expertise in new areas.
Hands-on attitude and commitment to achieving team objectives.
Compensation
The Redwood City, CA base pay range for this role is $122,000-$183,000. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. Pay ranges outside Redwood City are adjusted based on cost of labor in each respective geographical market.
