As an R&D Scientist, you will be part of an expanding R&D team and will apply your expertise to design and develop the next generation of our multimodality in-vitro diagnostic system. You will have the opportunity to operate in both R&D labs and on the production floor, and to work with a cross discipline team supporting the development of our microfluidic consumables as well as new testing assays for use in diagnostic testing, this includes interfacing with microfluidic and process engineers, assay development scientist, software, electrical and mechanical engineers.

What You Will Do
- Utilize your comprehensive understanding of cell biology to develop effective hematology Point-of-Care solutions.
- Design chemistries, mechanisms and protocols rooted in fundamental hematology/cell staining (e.g., fluorescence) principles that enable complete blood count measurements on the Fluxergy Analyzer.
- Work closely with systems engineering and product development in all aspects related to assay development for the new product design.
- Design and perform experiments to assist with novel microfluidic consumables at the Point-of-Care.
- Conduct in-depth DOEs based on a strong foundation of hematology and cell staining.
- Analyze current testing outputs to identify issues and areas of improvement.
- Design and perform experiments to identify root cause of failures and propose corrective actions.
- Communicate results effectively, guiding the team through data and your observations on critical design decisions.
What You'll Need to Have
- MS in biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field of study with minimum 3 years of experience in the Point-of-Care industry, or PhD with 1 year of industry experience.
- Demonstrated extensive expertise in hematology and an in-depth understanding of the underlying principles of cell biology including mammalian cell staining, flow cytometry, and fluorescence microscopy.
- Previous experience running Provider-Performed Microscopy (PPM) procedures.
- Strong knowledge of developing various cell-based assay methods and detection techniques.
- Extensive hands-on experience with fluorescent microscope, hemocytometers, flow cytometers, and cell counters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Prior experience with data analysis tools to help with decision making.
- Additional experience with statistical software(e.g., Matlab, Python, JMP) is a plus!

Salary Range:Level I: $75,000 - $85,000/yearLevel II: $85,000 - $100,000/year
