Veritasium is a world-leading physics and science education YouTube channel. We craft high-quality, in depth videos for a curious, engaged audience that never stops asking the big questions.

As the Production Assistant of Veritasium you will assist the Production Manager and team to help keep day to day production running smoothly. You should be highly organised, keen to learn and have an eye for detail.

You should have some experience working in production of video content as a Production Assistant or Production Secretary. You will also have a passion for Youtube and science.

Tasks

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Production

• Creating and sending call sheets
• Sending and filing release forms
• Helping to source and book crew and equipment
• Sourcing and purchasing props
• Sourcing and securing locations
• Helping to keep project management boards up to date
• Supporting the Production Manager with day to day production and special projects

Admin & Organisation

• Setting up meetings and note taking
• Keeping Google drive and documents up to date, setting up google folders
• Setting up and keeping slack channels up to date
• Setting up supplier accounts and log in details
• Help to manage the production inbox
• Assist in booking and coordination around recruitment

Financial

• Credit card reconciliation
• Requesting invoices from suppliers and crew

Post Production

• Assigning Production numbers for all videos
• Checking final deliverables
• Sharing final deliverables for language reversioning

Publishing

• Assist channel manager with publication requirements as and when needed, eg uploading video and multi-language audio assets
• Assist channel manager with video research and data pulls where required

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

• A passion and love for Veritasium and science, having been aware of the channel and having familiarity with its content.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Strong team skills with proven experience support production and creative teams in day to day tasks
• Experience with Monday.com software preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
