Hello 👋 I’m Emily, Senior Growth Marketing Manager at Pinpoint.
We’re a high-growth, bootstrapped HR-tech start-up building and selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent. Today, we have a strong foundation in place, with a mature product, strong product-market fit, and happy customers.
In 2024, we’re expanding on the foundations we’ve already laid across existing demand capture channels, optimising performance, and introducing new ones. We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to help us achieve this.
You’ll be joining an existing team of 4 marketers with 2 additional hires planned alongside this role—we’re a fast-growing team with lots to do.
This is a fully remote role, but we're looking for someone in the UK for the occasional in-person team meet up.
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to revenue goals—you’ll be working closely with me to generate and capture demand that ensures the whole Marketing & Sales team reliably hits our goals for new opportunities, pipeline, revenue, retention, and churn.
Manage our performance marketing activity across existing advertising platforms, which include LinkedIn, Google, and PPC programs like software review sites. Crucially, you’ll be managing and executing in platform, not via agencies.
Spot ways to make this existing performance marketing more efficient, understanding that we need to balance cost and impact, and scaling wherever it makes sense to help us grow.
Lead on diversifying our performance marketing channel mix—helping me to seek out and validate new channels, for example, Meta, Reddit, Display advertising or Bing.
Develop and test creative formats across your channel mix – for example drafting new Google Ad headlines, or creating a batch of LinkedIn ad copy to brief into our design team for static image ads.
Report on performance marketing activity on a regular cadence, highlighting important data points and what the numbers mean for our strategy moving forwards.
A few things to note before you apply:
While you’ll have support from me on the broader strategy and budgeting decisions, you’ll be expected to own performance marketing as the SME on all things performance.
It’s important that you are comfortable writing ad copy and coming up with creative ad concepts to test. You’ll need to balance being data-driven with being creative to succeed in this role.
We’re looking for someone with a growth mindset, which means you like to solve problems, create and test hypotheses, explore new channels, and get things shipped sooner rather than later. You don’t mind making mistakes because you always learn from them.
This is an extremely crowded space and we have to be 1% more creative than our competitors. We cannot succeed by doing the same things everyone else is doing.
We’re a small team in a startup, so we help each other out when we can. There might be times when your skillset can support other areas of marketing, so we’re looking for someone who’s flexible and adaptable.
This is a fully remote role, but our marketing team is currently based in the UK which means we get together for the occasional in-person team meet up—so we’d like you to be in the UK too.
About You:
You likely have 3+ years of experience in performance marketing. You might not have experience in all areas of the role we’ve outlined, but you’re willing to learn.
You’re comfortable managing LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads in platform, and you understand how to get the best out of them and similar performance marketing channels.
You can balance planning with execution. You love diving into a channel and making changes at a granular level as much as you enjoy analysing the numbers and contributing to the strategy.
You’re confident writing ad copy, headlines, and coming up with creative ideas. You write like you talk – no generic B2B fluff.
You have a curious mindset and like to take problems back to first principles to come up with creative solutions.
You’re scrappy and you find a way to get things done even if it feels hard.
You want to work in a small team with ambitious goals.
You’re based in the UK.
