Description
To be Curriculum Area Managers (CAMs) with managerial
responsibility for the Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA) team of the EFA funded curriculum provision.

Key Responsibilities
Promote the aims and ethos of the College both within the teaching and
learning context and within the corporate life of the College.
- Manage the department and associated teaching staff.
- Be responsible for quality assurance in your department, ensuring high standards of provision throughout the curriculum, meeting student needs and aspirations and awarding body requirements, by acting as a lead IV.
- Lead and manage the production of your departments’ sections of the College Self Assessment Report, the Quality Improvement Plan, attend all EPRS and other related reports and action plans.
- Carry out lesson observations, as a member of the lesson observation team, providing appropriate feedback and follow up, and assist in the coordination of peer lesson observations.
- Ensure that Schemes of Work, lesson plans, student target setting/monitoring, reviews and reports associated with your departments are appropriate, up to date and of a high standard and where appropriate ensure that all the internal verification requirements of your departments are met and that all internal verification in your departments is carried out on time and to a high standard.
- In association with the CAM for Functional Skills, promote the embedding of GCSE's and Functional skills within courses in your department, as appropriate.
- Coordinate the Student Council/ Student meetings and ensure that any issues are responded to effectively
- As required, ensure safety of staff and students is adhered to, by participating in 333 duties, to support staff and students with emergency incidents.
- To build high morale across staff and students and always lead by example with the QAC values of Enabling, Collaboration, Respect, Integrity, Excellent and Inclusion.
- Participate in staff training and development within the requirements of the College's programmes and priorities.
- Engage in any individual or collaborative research and consultative work agreed by senior management as relevant to the area of work.
- Contribute on an occasional and voluntary basis to the corporate life of the College, including reporting in a variety of forms to senior managers and governors.
- Perform such other duties as are commensurate with the status and nature of the post.
QAC complies with Safeguarding guidelines and all appointees are required to have DBS Check and two reference
