Job Descrption
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
PAYROLL:
Process monthly payroll within the regions of responsibility
Ensures timely and accurate processing of payroll including pay data import, payroll adjustments, manual checks, and benefit deductions
Setting up new starters and leavers
Oversees leave of absence policies, time off programs to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory and legal requirements of each location
Review and maintain timekeeping system records and process changes to ensure time records are uploaded accurately and timely
All absence management reporting including sickness and holiday tracking as well as end of year processes such as holiday reconciliations
Generate payroll reports as needed (e.g. headcount, vacation liability, etc.)
Onboarding of new hires
Assist all terminating/retiring employees with exit paperwork
Prepare and assure proper payment of other local payroll obligations through vendor invoices and remittance advices. Maintain filing of records to substantiate payments.
Provide employee support for all payroll and benefits queries within the region of responsibility
BENEFITS:
Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations
Coordinate and conduct the new employee onboarding process and present benefit programs to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions
Managing the enrollment, renewal, and distribution processes
Monitoring government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends
Working with Finance and local HR colleagues on the annual benefits budget process
Manage annual renewals– work with insurance brokers to negotiate cost effective designs, ensure market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance, communicate changes to employees, and processing changes within deadlines
Serve as the primary contact for brokers, plan vendors, and third-party administrators
Manage and track all benefit-related invoices and reconciliations within the regions of responsibility
Skills and Ability:
Work experience of min. 3 - 5 years in the similar position
Knowledge of different European labour law, regulations and guidelines related to assigned work
Ability to keep the knowledge of different European labour law to support other human resource functions, programs and initiatives and compliance with regional regulations and legislation
Good understanding of benefits programs
Knowledge of different payroll systems, e.g. SDworx or ADP StreamLine would be favorable
Good understanding of local tax law
Knowledge of internal Policies and Procedures
Knowledge of payroll principles, practices and methods
Skill in preparing detailed payroll reports
Ability to maintain confidential information
Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written
Attention to detail and ability to cope with several tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to meet deadlines
Good communication skills
Be open to learn new things
Experience with other countries payroll is not obligatory, but favorable
If you speak some of the following languages: Dutch, English, French or German, would be beneficial
