We specialize in providing comprehensive solutions for fuel systems in power generation applications. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a talented Fuel Systems Engineer to join our team.
As a Fuel Systems Engineer at AVK, you will understand mechanical systems and where possible have experience or an understanding of fuel systems. The role will include inspecting fuel systems and carrying out or project managing their subsequent repairs and servicing. Experience of OFTEC inspections and analysing fuel testing samples are preferred, but not essential to be considered. This role will require the successful candidate to have excellent client facing and communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Undertake client OFTEC inspections, fuel system maintenance and site surveys.
Identify remedial works and recommendations during OFTEC inspections, fuel system inspections and site surveys for quotation by the wider team.
Provide engineering reports within agreed timescales.
Carry out preventative maintenance works as required.
Carry out remedial works, servicing and repairs as required.
Analyse fuel sample results, advising customer where appropriate of findings.
Undertake small to medium projects and repairs, as required.
Provide customer quotations for remedial works.
Commission and project manage the installation of equipment where required, providing comprehensive feedback on progress to the Fuel Systems
Specialist, whilst managing client expectations throughout the project.
Provide back-up support to the Diesel Generator Engineers at peak times.
Produce RAMS, including dynamic RAMS, where required and if appropriate liaise with the Health and Safety consultant
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in carrying out OFTEC inspections.
Proven working experience in maintenance & repair of mechanical equipment.
Liaising with other members of the team and technical experts, both internally and externally
3 years’ experience as a field service engineer or equivalent Full Driving License
Be flexible with regards to travel, attending sites anywhere in the UK
Candidate will be expected to undertake internal product training which may result in travelling overseas.
Relevant training of fuel systems and fuel analysis to be provided
