Sagittal.ai is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with interest and familiarity on Large Language Models, architectures and prompting techniques.

Our first product, Neo, helps every member of a software team in the complex process that is product engineering. This is not just code generation, but a much broader, turn-key product for teams to efficiently work with generative AI end-to-end throughout the entire life of the product.

We have just closed our pre-seed round, and we are building a team of 6 people. You will be part of the seed of this new company and an integral part of how we shape our products and culture.

The two co-founders are extremely experienced, ex-Google/Amazon/Yahoo/Qualcomm/Telefonica and have taken several start ups to scale ups. Having gone through the ranks from software engineers and product managers to CTO and CPO, they are both still hands-on both on product and engineering. They both understand not only building products, but building teams.

At Sagittal.ai we believe in smart people working together and owning problems and responsibilities. We wish to find disciplined people that enjoy being challenged with problems and not expect tasks to be hand fed to them.

We are working on solving highly technical problems, and thus our first hires are exclusively engineers. You are expected to bring in familiarity on product and project management, and be self driven yet interact in a productive and organised way, working in a small fast-moving team using the right tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Masters in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in object oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with prompt generation systems or natural language processing is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the latest research on prompt engineering and generative AI models, specifically LLMs.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data structures is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in web-scale architectures, systems and protocols.
• Proficiency in cloud based deployments.
• Familiarity with common Software Development Cycle methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with all steps of the DevOps process.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (we are not able to sponsor visas).
• Able to be commute daily to an office in Shoreditch, London.
