Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW) have some exciting opportunities to recruit some family support workers in our Central South Team. Being a Family support worker and being part of the Children and Family Wellbeing service is a truly rewarding vocation working with some of Lancashire most amazing children, young people and their families. We work with Children and young people aged 0-19yrs+ (25yrs for young people with special educational needs and disabilities).
We are looking for individuals who are dynamic and creative and have a passion to overcome barriers yet celebrate successes. We work directly with children and young people and their families, delivering support, direct work, parenting courses specialist support within their homes and community, as early as possible, enabling families to get the right support, in the right way, at the right time.
The role also requires an ability to record accurate case notes, complete assessments and devise a plan with the child(ren) at the centre. Part of the role is to work on data systems to evidence the journey of the child and where the family have transitioned to on the cycle of change.
Family support workers will become part of the Family Intensive Support team which work with families at Level 3 on the Lancashire Continuum of Need. This is a fast-paced team where you will be doing a variety of home visits, completing direct work, arranging and chairing Team around the Family Meetings alongside our partners in the community and schools.
As a family support worker, you will liaise with social workers, schools, and a variety of multiagency partners within your district and the Family Hubs. This gives all our family support workers an opportunity to build professional networks and know services which deliver support in their districts.
