Description:

The role of the Junior Systems Administrator is to provide solid first and second line technical support to telephone requests and e-mails from all staffs. This is to ensure that support issues are dealt with promptly and appropriately or escalated to the relevant members of the team as well as third parties. This person will be an integral part of the team in undertaking projects necessary for the smooth running and progression of IT within the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive first and second-line support to all office staff, ensuring seamless IT operations. From hardware glitches to software hiccups, you’re the go-to problem solver.
  • Maintain and manage Active Directory user accounts, ensuring smooth access for our team.
  • Craft and maintain Group Policy objects, shaping our digital environment with precision.
  • Navigate LANs, WANs, and network segments like a seasoned explorer, ensuring connectivity and reliability.
  • Respond promptly to requests and cases from both local and remote users. Your troubleshooting prowess and research finesse lead to effective solutions.
  • Conduct systems administration tasks for our Windows AD infrastructure and hosted email services.
  • Develop and meticulously document internal IT processes and procedures, creating a knowledge base for the team.
  • Log support calls, track outcomes, and resolve common queries efficiently.
  • Redirect or escalate support requests as needed, orchestrating seamless collaboration within the team and with third parties.
  • Configure laptop and desktop computers, ensuring they hum harmoniously with OS installations, software updates, and patches.
  • Provide training and answer questions, guiding end users through the adoption of new technologies and IT practices.
  • Dive into research on network products, services, protocols, and standards, contributing to informed decisions.
  • Be the hero during after-hours infrastructure emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.

 

Qualifications:

  • You’re self-motivated, work with minimal supervision, and see projects through to completion with exceptional organizational skills
  • Thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment, keeping pace with the ever-evolving IT landscape.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 and Intune MDM is a plus.
  • Experience creating, executing, and troubleshooting PowerShell Scripts for process automation 
  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows 7/10/11 and Windows Server 2012/2016.
  • Understand current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including hardware RAID, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and DNS.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Base Salary Range $70,000 – 80,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed). 

 

Bonus Eligible: Yes

 

Total Compensation Package: Includes annualized bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of additional benefits and rewards.

 

Flexible Work Policy: Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York, Washington D.C, San Francisco and Boston offices, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
