What We Are Looking For
The Assistant Athletic Director for Development is responsible for managing all annual fund efforts including solicitations, correspondence, and benefit fulfillment for Baylor Athletics. This position will work closely with other development officers to identify prospective donors, cultivate donor relationships, and solicit donations or gifts from individuals, corporations, or foundations.
The Bear Foundation is the primary fundraising organization for Baylor Athletics and supports 500 plus student-athletes across all 19 intercollegiate sports. Our mission is to provide scholarship funds for Baylor's student-athletes and to support and promote the interest and welfare of Baylor Athletics.
A Bachelor's degree, four years relevant work experience, supervisory experience, and an active Christian faith are required. Proven ability to cultivate, develop and steward donor relationships. The person selected for this position must be self-starter who works efficiently and has excellent customer service and communication skills. The ability to interact comfortably in business and social settings with donors, prospects, and university officials is required.
A Master's degree, prior experience with annual fund campaigns, and working knowledge of Paciolan or SalesForce is preferred. Evidence of ability to plan and execute a fundraising project from conception to completion is also highly desired.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
