What you’ll do 

As the Brands Onboarding Manager you will support the development of business aligned, customer centric propositions that deliver business goals and targets. As the key contact for the Brand during the Brand onboarding process, you will also be supporting them through every step, ensuring that they are clear on how each of the key areas will work – product set up, delivery, invoicing etc. 

Your key accountabilities will include  

  • Owning the Brand onboarding critical path from a project manager and delivery perspective, including vendor setup. You will not be responsible for actioning all the steps yourself, but you will need to manage the Brands and internal teams through the process to the agreed critical path 
  • Own and develop the brand onboarding critical paths with the business development & buying teams across all Branded areas of the M&S business to onboard branded product in a timely way to hit the agreed launch dates. 
  • Creating and presenting brand facing onboarding documents, including kick off meeting presentations and project plans, and improving them so that they are suitable across different product types & divisions and different operating models such as Wholesale, Consignment & Dropship. 
  • Reporting Brand onboarding status to a broad range of stakeholders, including weekly dashboards and planned launches for the coming year. Running internal weekly brand onboarding progress meetings with a broad range of teams across different Business Units and support functions such as logistics, finance and marketing. 
  • Gathering insights and feedback from brands to provide to the Operations team, allowing them to make improvements to ensure that the brands onboarding process is industry leading and fulfils our desire to be the best partner to do business with. 
  • Support tech with user cases and coordinate user acceptance testing on new developments. Ensure that training is kept up to date and delivered to all users 

Who you are 

You will have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to confidently collaborate with partners internally and externally, with a focus on delivering results and support for the brand partners. In this role you must represent the Brands strategy, plans to the team internally and the M&S brand externally. You will have the ability to problem solve, analysing issues. While developing and improving processes. 

Your skills and experience will include…

  • Experience working with Brands as a retailer or in a Brand liaising with retailers. Experience working with Dropship and/or marketplace models. 
  • Leading and motivating yourself and others to deliver results on time. Ability to work under time constraints with pace and successfully prioritise to get the plan and results delivered 
  • Data driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to turn findings into executable plans. Experience of supporting Tech and Operations teams with business requirements in operational roles. Confident in the implementation of technology, in embedding processes and systems to support the business functions. 
  • Adaptable, decisive with the ability to deliver solutions despite ambiguity, obstacles, and complexity. Confident, sound decision-making, ability to challenge and credible influencing skills 
  • Some experience of developing and delivering training material. Change Management Skills
