This role supports the Planning Team to ensure the Inbound flow of product into the network is aligned to our Commercial demands, so we can maximise availability and capitalise on sales. You will be responsible for managing the network flow plans and the processes that sit behind this and will involve translating and calculating Clothing & Home commercial plans into a long-term network Distribution Center plan [0 to 52 Weeks Forecast].

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
Produce routine weekly DC plans to service M&S Brands & Furniture Volume, align with retail/online commercial teams, operations and transport to ensure good control of requirement vs capacity, maximise efficiencies and operational cost benefits. Hold routine review calls to assess opportunity/risk
Run & maintain 52 week Intake forecasts, take action to identify & solve risks via smoothing in monthly supply reviews with M&S Business Units, Inbound Management & Freight teams. Collaborate with peers to drive improvements to service, reduce cost and simplify trading
Conduct detailed launch/peak planning with a focus on maximising availability in stores/online
Respond, analyse and provide recommendation(s) for trading scenarios
Review planning accuracy, smoothness, stability and bias. Provide clear and visible tracking against Key Performance Indicators. Root cause, provide analytics and insight to resolve and improve
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
Experience of Supply Chain Planning principles and practices, with a sound knowledge of logistics distribution networks and planning
Knowledge of business IT and MI systems, i.e. (Power BI / Business Objects)
Strong commercial and analytical skills and able to utilise Data Analytics and advanced Excel skills
Able to work to tight timeframes while not compromising on accuracy
Excellent communication and presentation Skills
