Senior Sales Engineer (Enterprise) - UK

Job purpose:

The Sales Engineering team is a critical component of the Juniper sales organisation, and we now seek a Senior Sales Engineer to support the growing UKI business to deliver technical sales excellence to our Enterprise customers with particular focus within FSI.

This role will combine technical account management and pre-sales activities within existing customer accounts, and new prospects/opportunities. The Senior Sales Engineer will develop close working relationships with key customer stakeholders & business partners to build trusted advisor status and represent Juniper as the technical lead within those customer accounts.

Leveraging in-depth industry knowledge to position market-leading technology solutions, the Senior Sales Engineer will demonstrate solid networking skills across multiple domains, client to cloud, aligning innovative solution design & technological benefits to strategic business outcomes for our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Represent Juniper as the technical account lead for our customers, delivering expertise in pre-sales solution design across multiple networking technology domains.
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable with delivering tailored messaging/content to a wide/varied audience, demonstrating both technical advantages & business value and how they align.
  • Comfortable delivering customer demonstrations and supporting pilot/PoC activities.
  • Maintain core proficiency on Juniper’s broad product portfolio and market-leading solutions.
  • Technical knowledge - Wired/Wireless Campus LAN, SDWAN/SASE, Datacentre, Security, as they relate to Juniper’s products and solutions and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of Juniper’s key competitors’ products and solutions.
  • Contributing to and supporting/creating ITT/RFP responses of the highest quality. 
  • Work with Account Managers to identify, qualify, and develop opportunities and build account development plans.
  • Participate with Sales Engineering peers to drive the design and development of networking and security solutions for the Enterprise market. 
  • Provide feedback to Juniper Networks product managers to help drive customer-focused solutions.

If you have:

  • Demonstrable pre-sales experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and to be self-motivated.
  • Passion for innovation and continued learning & development.
  • Experience of working within a vendor/partner organisation.
  • Experience designing mid-large scale enterprise networking and security solutions. 
  • Hands-on experience with either Juniper or other vendors technology
  • Proven technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply new skills.
  • Knowledge of Juniper products & solutions is highly desired but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the FSI market is desirable, but not essential.
