The Senior Director Mission Integration leads (operationlizes) mission integration within the region to ensure the mission, vision, values and heritage are integrated into all aspects of the organization. This position promotes a values-based organizational culture uniting people around the organization's mission, vision, values, and heritage.
Works with the leadership team to make operational the Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Contributes to processes that affect the organization's operations, goals and strategic transformation.
Develops and implements policies, procedures and programs to achieve operational goals.
Educates staff, medical staff, volunteers, the community and others about mission, vision, values, and heritage.
Contributes to the preparation of regular accountability reports for the local senior leadership team and hospital board regarding key areas of mission integration: organizational identity, spirituality and culture, ethical principles, and community health and the common good.
Minimum of 5 years experience in management, mission and community leadership within a healthcare setting (minimum of 2 years to be considered experience in a healthcare setting)
Master’s degree in theology, healthcare administration, or related field (Bachelor’s degree in public health or health education can be considered)
• Thorough understanding of the Catholic Church’s teachings, especially as they relate to healthcare
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills in assessing the local market environment and available resources to successfully implement new and existing programs.
• Demonstrated skills in facilitating the implementation of policy, system and environmental changes to eradicate health inequities
• Proven ability to recruit, mobilize, and manage volunteers, including C-suite level executives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and events ensuring target compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently participate in a multi-disciplinary team environment working towards common goals with internal and external clients. Ability to influence team members without supervisory authority.
• Excellent listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making
• Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills
• Highly effective organizational skills, time management, responsibility, leadership, and motivation
• Experience working with multicultural and/or under-resourced communities. Desirable but not necessary.
• Ability and willingness to occasionally travel outside the market and to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to do daily local travel up to 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.
