We are seeking to recruit a Head of Actuarial Project Delivery in our Actuarial Reporting and Change team within the Finance Reporting Centre.
Who are we?
We want to be the best place that any of our 6,800 colleagues have ever worked.
We’re the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer our 12 million customers products across our market-leading brands, including Standard Life, SunLife and ReAssure, with c.£259 billion of assets under administration. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.
The role
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our growing organisation, leading a key actuarial reporting project or workstream at a time of considerable transformation and investment in our actuarial reporting capability. This is an interesting and varied role acting as a business lead within a major change programme covering the actuarial reporting aspects. The role offers variety as it will include leading a variety of projects over time including Transformation, Integrations and other large business changes.
You will build and lead a team of project actuaries and change teams to deliver complex change in a major change project to ensure the Finance Reporting Centre supports business ambitions in line with business strategic objectives. This will require you to act as project sponsor and/or Steering Group representative.
Another key aspect of the role is ensuring that Change is landed safely and successfully into BAU, with all financial & operational impacts and interdependencies of change correctly understood and addressed.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading and motivating teams through complexity and have experience of delivering change at senior levels in finance and capital reporting, then we’d love to hear from you.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented Qualified Actuary (or equivalent by experience) with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex actuarial reporting change. Both your ability to manage complex and potentially competing priorities and excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills will be critical to being successful in this role.
You will have experience of building and running multi-disciplinary financial reporting and change teams, along with knowledge of actuarial reporting systems and processes, and good knowledge of wider financial reporting processes. You will ideally have experience of acting as a programme business lead and working closely with programme delivery teams.
Knowledge of key reporting metrics including Solvency II, IFRS-17 and actuarial concepts relevant to actuarial reporting, and knowledge of insurance products and markets and experience working with UK and European reporting regulation will be extremely beneficial.
We want to hire the whole version of you
We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
