We are looking to fill our vacancies across all levels in both accredited and non-accredited ESOL courses. In the ESOL accredited programme we are particularly keen to employ evening tutors. Due to an increase in demand for ESOL we can work with tutors and develop a timetable with flexible hours that meet your preferences. You need to be experienced in delivering at least one of the following courses: New to ESOL, any of the accredited or non-accredited ESOL Entry levels up to ESOL Level 2 or bespoke courses for new arrival refugees.
This is an exciting time to be joining Adult Learning Lewisham as we grow our provision and develop further partnerships across Lewisham to meet the ongoing demand of adults who seek to improve their English language skills to better integrate in the community, enhance their career prospects and flourish.
We are a well-established and ambitious adult community learning (ACL) provider, offering a wide range of courses across Lewisham and from our main centres located in Granville Park, Brockley Rise and Grove Park. We are proud to offer high quality ESOL courses to diverse groups of adult learners who successfully develop skills, gain qualifications and achieve their long-term goals. ESOL courses run daytime and evenings with sessions ranging from 2.5 to 5 hours per week across the academic year.
Working as part of a team, you will support the pre-course assessment of learners identifying their needs and allocating learners to courses that are right for them. You will be responsible for planning and delivering courses, addressing learner needs and supporting learners in progressing, achieving their goals and gaining a qualification (where applicable).
Upon successful recruitment, you will receive an in-depth induction into the service. We will provide you with ongoing support on our MIS and VLE systems. You will have regular opportunities in engaging and sharing best teaching practices and staff development activities to enable you and ALL to become an outstanding provider.
