About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an HR Intern to join the Human Resources team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
• Meet and greet colleagues with a smile at all times; Responsible for dealing with all colleague queries and telephone calls that come through the office and direct them to the relevant HR colleague
• To manage the online recruitment system by publishing vacant positions, screening candidates, short listing suitable CV’s for the department and giving relevant feedback to the candidates.
• Maintain up-to-date files ensuring that filing is completed on a regular basis;
• Upon receipt of all medical appointments from HR Admin., ensure these are sent to the respective departments.
• Handle confidential matters/information with the appropriate level of sensitivity
• To review and monitor new hire requests and status changes and process them according to the company guidelines effective and efficiently and by communicating with the candidates and hiring department and coordinating with HR Administration.
• To ensure security checks for new colleagues are done as well as vetting of all Grades 7 and above (if applicable) as per company policy.
• To update all departments (coordinators and line manager) with latest information of new joiners.
• To drive change, influence transitions, and actively seek and contribute to ideas and solutions for continuous improvement
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Fluency in written and verbal business English
• Demonstrated Intermediate level - Microsoft Office applications
• Previous use of learning management software systems
• Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing changes in tasks or the work environment; able to adjust quickly to new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
