The Opportunity:
We have an exciting new position to join our dedicated cardiology nursing team at the Hospital for Small Animals. Our service offers a full-time specialist-led referral service on-site and comprises European and RCVS recognised specialists in veterinary cardiology, and specialist cardiology nursing. It has an international reputation as a centre of clinical and research excellence and has pioneered techniques in interventional cardiology.
We are looking for a candidate who is well organised and is able to work as part of a team. Experience of working within any specialty of a referral practice would be advantageous, however, we welcome any enthusiastic registered nurses wishing to advance their career.
You will actively contribute to the gold standard excellence of care we provide for our patients from admission through to discharge. As well as aiding the investigation and management of small animals with cardiac-related disease, you will contribute to nurse-led cardiology clinics, directly interfacing with the public, and supporting pets undergoing balloon valvuloplasty, pacemaker implantation and PDA closure.
Full and in-depth training will be provided while shadowing experienced nursing staff in all areas of the hospital.
