The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity to support disabled students to participate fully and succeed in their chosen courses of study. Your key role will be to provide specialist study skills support, advice and guidance to students with specific learning differences and neurodiverse conditions that impact their studies.
Full-time (35 hours per week) or Part-time opportunities are available, with a minimum of 0.6 FTE (Full Time Equivalent) which is the equivalent of 3 days or 21 hours per week.
Your skills and attributes for success
Educated to degree level in a professional relevant subject (e.g., Health, Inclusive Education, Neurodiversity)
Must hold SpLD qualification (preferably with Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) accreditation)
Substantial knowledge of issues affecting students with neurodiverse conditions including AD(H)D, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia undertaking studies in higher education.
Working knowledge of equality legislation and good practice including GDPR
IT literate
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Organisational skills: ability to manage priorities, workload and deliver case notes and funding body paperwork timeously.
Ability to remain calm and professional within a busy and, at times, challenging environment
A competitive salary of Grade UE07 £39,347 - £46,974 per annum (pro-rata for part time)

The Disability and Learning Support Service are engaged in hybrid working with most team members working a balance of campus and remote working. Due to the nature of this role, please note that it cannot be entirely fulfilled by remote working.
