The Opportunity:
We have an opening for an Early-Stage Researcher (Doctoral Candidate) position as part of the CoCoGel (“Controlling Colloidal Gels for Novel Sustainable Materials”) Marie Curie Industrial Doctoral Training Network. This is a high-profile position that offers exceptional benefits ideally suited for top graduates with an interest in bridging the gap between academic research and industrial practice.
This position is based with the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh, specifically within the soft matter group. In this post you will experimentally investigate the rheology and microstructure of filled colloidal gels relevant for personal care applications. The period of study for a doctoral degree is 36 months. Further information about the topic and the partners is available on the CoCoGel network website https://cocogel.iesl.forth.gr/. This position is related to the project “Rheology and microstructure of model catalytic inks under simple and complex shear (DC 15)”, a full description of the project is available on the website and below.
