About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Catering Team Leader to ensure the smooth operational management of our catering services across various schools in Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Mansfield, and Derby.
Duties to include
Strictly enforce compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
Support the Catering Team Leader in the day-to-day operational management of assigned direct and indirect reports.
Assist with all people management processes including attendance, performance management, recruitment, induction, training, and development.
Support the Catering Team Leader in maintaining positive relationships with Head Teachers and school staff.
Conduct regular visits to schools to address customer needs and maintain strong relationships.
Prioritise workload to accommodate daily emergencies, ensuring timely resolution.
Respond to emergencies following pre-defined procedures and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Ensure high standards of catering services are delivered at assigned schools, taking actions to resolve issues and improve services.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle - This post is a mobile position as you will be required to travel to different sites, and you must be able to drive and have use of a car on a daily basis. You will also require business use insurance cover.
· Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant leadership role within the catering industry.
· Strong understanding of catering operations, Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
