Work Location: Combination of office based (County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA) and home working 

Worker Category: Hybrid Worker 

Salary: £46,404 - £50,865 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Working Hours: 37 hours 

Contract Type: Fixed term (24 month contract)

About the Role

LCC's Transformation Unit is looking for Change Managers to join the team to work on a range of projects, programmes and change initiatives across the authority. These temporary roles will discover and identify opportunities for people and practice-based change, work collaboratively with senior organisational leaders to design approaches to change implementation which address financial and wider strategic change objectives, and support the delivery of change through applying appropriate change management processes and tools. We are looking for experienced change professionals, with a proven track record, skills and experience to support us in the delivery of this crucial work. If you're a talented professional who can drive real change, has innovative ideas and experience working in and around projects, we want to hear from you. 

 

About You

To apply for this post, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualification in project or change management, and educated to degree level or with equivalent demonstrable experience in delivering service change and business improvement  
  • Experience of successfully motivating groups of stakeholders to embrace change and managing them through change, working across team and organisational boundaries to quickly establish open and honest relationships to drive the pace and quality of delivery, and influencing stakeholders at operational and senior management levels 
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodology, approaches and standards, and experience of managing complex change initiatives or projects to these standards. This will include preparation of plans and management of agreed milestones, targets, budgets, benefits and quality standards, risks and issues, and preparation of audience-appropriate progress updates 
  • Able to understand, analyse and draw conclusions from complex data sets and to solve problems in uncertain and unfamiliar situations 
  • Knowledge of the public sector environment and strategic drivers for transformation and change in local government. A working knowledge of adult social care would be an advantage.

We have moved to a flexible hybrid remote/office working arrangement within the Transformation Unit. Successful candidates will need to be able to attend County Hall in Glenfield, Leicestershire as required by the needs of the project or programme they are working on.
