Deputy Director - Renewable Energy

Role Overview
Our client, a leading multinational renewable energy solutions provider, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as the Deputy Director of Renewable Energy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic vision and operational excellence of the organization, contributing to the growth and success of their global renewable energy scope.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning: Work with the executive team to create and carry out strategic plans & initiatives relating to renewable energy projects. Oversee the creation and completion of key projects in accordance with company objectives.
• Project Management: Supervise the development, implementation, and culmination of renewable energy initiatives. Ensure projects are... delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget. Track and assess project performance, pinpointing opportunities for development.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and preserve enduring bonds with important parties, such as local communities, business associates, and governmental organizations. Represent the company in trade associations and other events to raise its profile and influence.
• Team Leadership: Guide the technical team and cultivate a culture of cooperation and excellence. Coach and grow group members to improve their competencies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Keep up with pertinent laws and policies impacting the renewable energy industry, particularly in the United Arab Emirates. Verify that all legal and regulatory standards are met during the planning, development, and execution of the project.
• Financial Management: Manage budgets, project expenses, and maximize the financial performance of renewable energy projects by collaborating closely with the finance department.
• Risk Management: Recognize and evaluate the risks related to initiatives involving renewable energy. Create and implement risk-reduction plans to ensure project success.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business, environmental sciences. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years' proven experience in a leadership role within the renewable energy sector.
Skills: Strong project management skills with a successful track record of delivering complex projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory landscape. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
