Job Profile
As Project Planning Engineer, you will be a part of the project management team and will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring of Civil Infra projects like Highrise Building, Villas, and Multipurpose Buildings. Main job responsibilities include:
• Prepare master/baseline schedule for the project and review the schedule submitted in the bid, and prepare the detailed baseline schedule (L1 to L6) during design and construction stages for the project.
• Prepare initial network of activities in simplified form for project programme in Primavera & maintain critical path diagrams to ensure project milestones are... met.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, and coordinate preparation of commercial time sheets for reimbursable projects.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules (30, 60, 90) and prepare activities forecast schedule, supplying information to respective departments for timely availability of resources on-site.
• Prepare progress measurement systems such as manpower histograms, which indicate the number of people required each month, and progress S-curves to indicate project progress at a given point of time, reviewed at periodic intervals.
• Prepare WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURES (WBS) for the project.
• Carry out schedule risk analysis as required and advise action plan to mitigate delays, if any.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure implementation of above systems and conduct audits on the progress and costs.
• Alert Project Managers and other stakeholders and resolve issues related to progress slippage.
• Periodically prepare progress variance reports (budgeted vs actual) and find out reasons for filling the loopholes.
• Prepare, review and implement Recovery Programs for planning and cost control.
• Ensure proper corrections in project schedule in case of change orders and document their impact on the overall project schedule.
• Work closely with Project Managers in project coordination and control.
• Support Project Managers in preparation of claims.
• Capture data during project execution on a weekly/monthly basis up to L2/L3 activities.
Candidate Profile
Candidate should possess a BE/BTech degree with 5-15 years of experience in project planning for oil & gas projects and at least one (1) full-fledged EPC project handled on the ground (at Home office during E&P stage, at site during Construction) from inception to commissioning. Excellent knowledge of PRIMAVERA is a must. Candidate should have:
• Deep understanding of project management.
• Knowledge of tools related to project planning such as Primavera.
• Planning capability with the ability to factor in all variables.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Proactively identify project issues and address them.
• Proactive problem identification ability & good communication skills.
