Job Summary
The SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative) Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and controlling the financial operations related to business performance and SG&A activities within the Middle East region. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes for SG&A expenses and business performance.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and providing actionable insights.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to senior management.
2. SG&A Control:
- Oversee the tracking, reporting, and forecasting of SG&A expenses, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s financial objectives.
- Develop and implement procedures for expense management and cost controls.
- Work closely with department heads to monitor actual expenses versus budgeted figures, identifying variances and providing recommendations for cost optimization.
3. Business Performance Analysis:
- Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic financial plans.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide actionable insights to optimize spending.
- Update and refine financial forecasts based on changing business conditions.
- Support strategic initiatives by assessing their financial impact and feasibility.
4. Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audit activities.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and HR, to provide financial support and guidance.
- Act as a financial business partner, providing strategic recommendations based on financial analysis.
6. Systems & Processes:
- Optimize financial processes and systems to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Implement financial controls and reporting tools to enhance transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in finance or controlling roles, preferably within the automotive industry or a multinational environment.
