Job Descrption
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Income Auditor to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and reconciling daily revenue reports across multiple departments, conducting audits, and providing insights into revenue performance to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Verify and reconcile daily revenue reports from various departments, including rooms, food and beverage, and other revenue-generating outlets.
Conduct audits of cash handling procedures, ensuring strict compliance with internal controls and policies.
Review and reconcile guest folios, identifying discrepancies in charges, payments, or refunds.
Compile and analyze revenue data to identify trends and provide actionable insights on revenue performance.
Monitor and investigate variances in revenue, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, highlighting key... findings and variances.
Collaborate with Front Office, Food and Beverage, and other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for various revenue streams.
Conduct periodic audits of operating procedures and internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary adjustments for compliance and efficiency.
Provide support during financial audits by supplying necessary documentation and explanations for revenue-related transactions.
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of auditing processes and findings to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Proven experience as an Income Auditor in the hotel or hospitality industry, preferably with cluster hotel operations experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong organizational skills to ensure thorough and accurate audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
High level of integrity and ethics, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in financial information management.
Knowledge of hotel revenue management systems and familiarity with revenue-related processes.
Experience with hotel property management systems and financial software is an advantage.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of responsibilities and managing priorities.
