Job Descrption
We are looking for a Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest experiences at our hotel. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process while delivering personalized service that reflects our commitment to hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Deliver a warm and welcoming experience to all guests upon arrival and departure.
Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, enhancing their stay.
Manage guest bookings, including up-selling opportunities and sharing information about hotel services and amenities.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and securely.
Efficiently check guests in and out, verifying IDs, issuing room keys, and managing safety deposit boxes.
Anticipate guest needs by recording preferences and addressing messages, requests, and concerns promptly.
Act as a reliable point of contact for guests, assisting with inquiries, bill issues, and providing local recommendations while coordinating with... management when necessary.
Follow all safety and security procedures, reporting incidents and wearing required protective gear.
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the hotel’s brand standards.
Stay informed about daily events and activities to enhance guest experiences.
Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties to ensure team efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills to engage with guests and colleagues effectively, addressing concerns and compliments with ease.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
Strong literacy and computer skills, including familiarity with reservations systems like Opera.
Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
Minimum of two years of experience in a front desk or guest service position at a five-star property is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to guest service.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions and communications.
