Skills
• Background in fire engineering, preferably in a consultancy environment
• Proficiency in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling
• Experience with Computer Modelling software (CFAST, Pyrosim, Pathfinder)
• Strong project management skills
• Client-facing experience and confidence in construction-related queries
• Business development skills to find new clients
• Ability to mentor and manage team members
Responsibilities
• Manage large and complex projects for important clients
• Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK and globally
• Conduct CFD modelling and analysis for smoke movement
• Use computer modelling software to provide fire engineering solutions
• Mentor and train junior engineers
• Engage with clients and address construction-related inquiries
• Contribute to business development efforts
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• Background in fire engineering within a consultancy is preferred
• Ideally working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
