Key Responsibilities:• Geotechnical Design and Analysis :• Lead geotechnical investigations for marine and coastal infrastructure projects, including site surveys, soil sampling, and laboratory testing.• Conduct foundation design, slope stability analysis, and pile design for marine structures such as jetties, breakwaters, quay walls, and offshore platforms.• Analyse soil-structure interaction, seabed conditions, and perform risk assessments for marine projects.• Marine Infrastructure Projects :• Provide technical input into the design of ports, harbors, offshore platforms, and coastal defenses, ensuring geotechnical considerations are integrated into project designs.• Collaborate with civil, structural, and coastal engineers to develop comprehensive engineering solutions that address geotechnical challenges.• Work on projects to mitigate issues related to soil settlement, liquefaction, scour, and erosion in marine environments.• Project Management :• Manage geotechnical aspects of... multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project delivery.• Oversee the preparation of geotechnical reports, technical documentation, and design calculations for regulatory approvals.• Leadership and Mentorship :• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and geotechnical teams, ensuring high standards of work and knowledge sharing.• Participate in internal and external project meetings, providing expert advice on geotechnical issues.• Compliance and Safety :• Ensure all geotechnical designs comply with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.• Conduct site visits to oversee geotechnical investigations, provide technical supervision, and ensure safety protocols are followed.• Business Development :• Support business development activities by identifying opportunities for marine geotechnical projects and assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals.• Build and maintain relationships with clients, offering expert geotechnical advice and solutions.Qualifications and Skills:• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Geotechnical Engineering , Civil Engineering , or a related field.• 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong focus on marine and coastal projects.• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS , GEO5 , or similar tools for soil analysis and design.• Strong knowledge of marine geotechnics , including soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and seabed interaction with structures.• Experience with geotechnical site investigation techniques, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing in marine environments.• Familiarity with local regulations, international standards• Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients and stakeholders
