Job Overview

The Metal Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal products according to specifications and quality standards. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Fabrication and Assembly
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Operate and maintain various metal fabrication tools and equipment, including shears, welders, and plasma cutters.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to create finished products or structures.
• Quality Control
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct routine maintenance on fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Adhere to company quality standards and safety regulations throughout the fabrication process.

• Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving fabrication issues, offering solutions to improve efficiency.

• Maintain accurate records of production, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related manufacturing role.
• Skills:
• Proficient in using fabrication tools and equipment, including welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
• Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
