We have a great opportunity for a Head Housekeeper to join our team in London.

This person will successfully oversee the entire housekeeping operation and team on a daily basis, looking after all areas of the office and residence and to provide the highest level of care and service to all internal employees / clients and in line with the agreed service level and procedures. First and foremost is to always be motivated, highly engaged to provide personalised “world class” customer care and service.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage, train, motivate and develop housekeeping staff to enable them to meet current and future team needs
• Create team rotas to ensure adequate cover at all positions at all times to ensure the provision of consistent service
• Provide day to day direction and support to the Housekeeping team, ensuring that all training and competency records for each team... member are completed
• To perform daily checks of all housekeeping member duties, ensure all checks are recorded
• Ensure Housekeeping SOP is kept up to date, produce any necessary checklist to support the operation
• To ensure that an accurate log is maintained for any incidents, resident issues and shift handover
• Take ownership and responsibility ensuring you are working effectively and developing close relationships with your colleagues
• To carry out regular floor walks of the building and report and log any issues/actions as required
• Monitoring the work activities of cleaning team to ensure that they are providing a clean, orderly, and attractive environment for guests.
• Managing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate supply is available at all times
• Report work related accidents or other injuries immediately upon occurrence
• Follow C&W and client safety and security policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe and secure working environment
• Protect privacy and security of guests and the team onsite
• To be responsible for upkeep and cleaning maintenance of the assigned area, including but not limited to pantries, washrooms, corridors, meeting rooms, communal areas as well as any necessary assistance within the office space
• To ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning materials are kept onsite and place orders are requested
• To support Workplace Experience Manager with events and any housekeeping tasks associated with it
• Comply with C&W policies, systems, and H&S requirements and ensure these are met during the shift
• Respond to requests within agreed timescales and procedures with the client and C&W
• Ensure all cleaning machinery is used in a safe working order
• Ensure all cleaning products as well as cleaning standards are maintained to highest standards
• Perform any ad hoc duties requested by the site manager or client
• Proactively report any maintenance issues within the building and escalate when needed
• Attend all assigned meetings and training sessions
• Be flexible to support Workplace Experience Manager with functions, events and other responsibilities including outside of core working hours as required
• Work well as a team member or independently

Qualities and Personal Attributes: Essential

• Previous experience in a private household environment and/or a 5-star hotel role is a must.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Demonstrate and deliver strong customer service.
• Able to work in a team environment but also independently.
• Be able to adapt to last minute changes and proactively solve it for C&W
• Have the ability to work under minimal supervision
