Overview:
My client is seeking an all-rounder Estimator & Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role focuses on managing small to medium-sized projects ranging from £1,000 to £1 million, working in a well-established office with regular clients and repeat business. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet with clients to assess project scope and initial requirements.
• Produce accurate measures and take-offs for project estimates.
• Prepare tenders, estimates, and procurement schedules for various projects.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, issue tender documents, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Prepare client cost reports, manage billing, and monitor project costs.
•... Oversee variations, changes, and financial appraisals of new opportunities.
• Work closely with architects and other professionals.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.
• Handle all project paperwork and visit sites as needed to monitor progress and cost management.
Requirements:
• Solid background in managing costs for projects within the industrial and commercial sectors.
• Proficiency in Estimating, Cost Control, BOQ production, and Cost Management.
• Experience working for a principal building contractor.
• Skilled in preparing detailed cost reports and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other software such as Asta Power Project.
• Experience with JCT & NEC contracts.
• A driver’s license is essential; a company vehicle will be supplied if required.
• Professional certification is preferred, but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Hours of Work:
• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
