Permanent Salary Guide: £30,000 – £40,000
An award-winning AJ100 practice is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team in Central London. The successful candidate will process both accounts payable and receivable, expenses, bank accounts and reconciliations and various other finance tasks. An understanding of VAT is a must as you will be issuing sales invoices, process supplier invoices and expenses. This is a full-time, hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities for this Finance Assistant Role Accounts Payable
• Scan supplier invoices prior to sending them for approval.
• Enter all invoices in Sage, allocating to the correct nominal code, and save approved invoice in Sage.
• Monthly reconciliation of the trade creditors report
• Process all payments in Sage and allocate to invoices
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• First point of contact for supplier queries
Accounts receivable
• Issue sales invoices and credit notes on instruction from project runners
• Credit control... including issue of statements and email or telephone follow-up
• Allocate receipts to Sage and CMap
• First point of contact for invoice and receipt queries
• File remittance advices
• Monthly reconciliation of trade debtors report to CMap
Expenses
• Check and approve all staff expenses and receipts in CMap
• Check, code and process credit card expense claims in CMap and Sage
• Monitor timing of credit card payments
Bank and cash
• Daily banking when necessary
• Daily checking of Natwest bankline system, recording entries in the cashbook and processing all entries for various bank accounts in Sage and CMap.
• Preparation of all payments in Bankline
• All bank queries and filing
About You
• An understanding of VAT is a must as you will be issuing sales invoices, process supplier invoices and expenses
• Great communication skills as you will be working with all levels within and outside the organisation
• Strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Expert using Sage 50 and MS Office
• Good knowledge of CMap.
