Working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, you will foster a multidisciplinary approach to clinical care, prioritising patient safety and experience through robust clinical governance frameworks. You will also collaborate... with the Director of Strategy and Partnerships to drive clinical transformation, ensuring our hospitals are well-positioned to take advantage of new technologies and innovations.

As the professional leader for our medical workforce, you will inspire a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, while providing leadership for several key group-wide functions, including Pharmacy, Public Health, and our Education Academy.

Additionally, you will lead the Trust's research initiatives in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London and other academic establishments, ensuring that they contribute to addressing health inequalities.

You will play a key role in developing and delivering the Trust's clinical strategy, fostering innovation, and aligning with regional and national healthcare priorities.

The Group CMO will also be instrumental in leading clinical engagement across the Trust, motivating and empowering clinical colleagues. Externally, you will work closely with other system CMOs and regional partners to tackle common healthcare challenges and deliver high-quality, equitable care across north-east London.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with substantial experience in medical leadership and a proven track record in medical leadership at senior levels, preferably at Board level. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and experience leading complex organisational change. You will have a passion for reducing health inequalities, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. Your leadership style will be inclusive, dynamic, and transformational, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
