Production & Materials Planner/BuyerMy client is an established scientific solutions company, seeking a dedicated Production & Materials Planner/Buyer to join this small, dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and purchasing of materials within their manufacturing processes, contributing to the continued success of the business.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the procurement manager and a close-knit team of three to manage material requirements and production schedules.Plan and purchase materials in alignment with production needs, utilising MRP/ERP systems.Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms, maintaining strong supplier relationships.Ensure material availability to meet production deadlines while optimising inventory levels.Requirements:Proven experience in a similar planning and buying role within a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and a solid understanding of planning and procurement... principles.Strong negotiation skills with a track record of driving cost-saving initiatives.CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum Hours: 32 hours per week, 4-day week (business closed on Fridays) Benefits: Free parking.EA First Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency for this permanent vacancy.
