We are looking for a full time friendly, energetic, customer service focused people to support our stylists and colourists as part of the salon assistant team. You will be working in a premium hairdressing salon providing an exceptional, high touch customer experience to our guests. This is a fast-paced environment, perfect for someone with a passion for hair and beauty who loves working with people.

Responsibilities:
· Meet or exceed all qualitative and quantitative benchmarks set for this position.
· Deliver a consistently high-quality customer service.
· Ensure that all guests receive Aveda Sensory Experiences during their appointment.
· Be knowledgeable about all Aveda retail domains in order to assist guests in the salon.
· Attend all mandatory and continuing education classes.
· Attend all salon meetings, Aveda-sponsored classes, functions, and events as required for professional development.
· Comply with Aveda polices and procedures.
· Hair station and equipment to be maintained in accordance with Aveda’s hygiene, visual and maintenance standards.
· Demonstrate flexibility to work shifts/late nights/weekends in line with needs of the business.
Salon Assistant Training Programme (only offered after probation)
• Attend all Training Days, ensuring all model requirements are fulfilled
• Follow the Aveda Salon Assistant Training Programme and complete all modules within the timeframes set by the Educators
• Work closely with the Salon Educators to proactively receive feedback and guidance to enable progression through the programme
• Develop creative/technical knowledge by regularly attending the required education classes and completion of online training programmes
• Observe and assist Salon Providers to support further on the job learning
• Ensure keep up to date with the latest trends, season’s looks
Service
• Whilst assisting check service providers bookings on a regular basis in order to familiarise yourself with the day and prepare as appropriate.
• Meet and greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
• Offer guests beverages on arrival and during the service.
• Prepare Aveda Comforting Tea and maintain tea and water stations.
• Carry out Aveda Sensory Experiences to enhance salon services.
• Carry out guest hair washing, and conditioning treatments as required and under the instruction of the service provider.
• Rinse hair colour and assist colourists with basin work.
• Carry out assistant blow-dry finishing service to the highest standards according to Aveda’s guidelines and guest’s request as required.
• Talk the guest through each step of the process and answer any questions.
• During conversation with guests ensure client confidentiality and maintain professional attitude/conduct at all times.
• Maintain tidy and clean styling stations, backwash and colour bar to support operational high standards.
Retail
• Ensure high standard and up to date knowledge of all Aveda products.
• Demonstrate products at the back wash and during trainee blow-dry services.
Working Relationships
• Create and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues in own department, other salon colleagues, assistants, retail advisors, reception and Salon/Aveda Management.
Business Awareness
• Be aware of own benchmarks and performance against these.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.31 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
