Overview:
This newly crafted role within Exodus will be the focus of our global tour leader community from over 90 different countries. The global leader manager will have a direct impact on the leader experience and the end customer experience through: setting standards and process, providing resources, and building a community of leaders highly engaged with the Exodus brand.
Our leaders are the most influential and memorable individual in a customer's Exodus experience. 90% of them work for our 3rd party DMCs, and have limited direct contact with the business. This new role aims to bridge that gap - crafting a direct channel of engagement between Exodus and our leaders. The ultimate objective being to build strong and highly engaged global team of leaders – who will deliver excellent trips at the same time as being a true ambassador for the wider Exodus brand.
Key Responsibilities::
You will oversee all Exodus Internal Leader Resources
• You will update our online leader... training resource, including refreshed content and a transition to a new platform.
• You will be responsible for all other leader documentation – Leader Handbook and Standard Trip Paperwork.
• You will create and maintain further training resources for locally delivered Exodus leader training (normally via our 3rd party DMCs)
• You will be responsible for and lead our leader uniform requirements and other kit used by our overseas teams. Setting and implementing the policy. Keeping a stock of kit to dispatch as needed, and approving locally produced items.
You will ensure the implementation of leader standards across the leader team – directly contracted and through 3rd parties. This will include:
• Roll-out of new standards or processes as and when needed including: New Quality or Safety SOPs or New Customer Initiatives.
• To do this, you will work closely with product managers and establish relationships with key DMC partners
• You will also provide direct input and support to the self-operated team standards for directly employed leaders working in parts of Europe.
Create a Global Leader Engagement programme. This is expected to include:
• Plan and host up to 4 annual regional leader meetings - in person or virtual. Covering process and expectations, updates about Exodus and Best Practice sharing
• Identifying the best ways to build community and engagement on a day to day basis. Including leading and enhancing the leader Facebook group.
• Identifying key leaders for retention and providing a framework for exclusivity to Exodus.
• Own the Annual Leader Awards and own the follow-up work to improve the on-going value to Exodus.
Desired Attributes:
• Direct experience of the role of the tour leader – either as a trip or tour leader, as manager of leaders, or as a tour operating professional in other roles where leaders are essential to the experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to build strong relationships with a wide range of individuals and partners.
• Good written skills to create and update Standard Operating Procedures that provide accessible and clear guidelines or policy to the end user.
• A demonstrable interest and passion for the travel and or outdoors.
