The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) to join our lovely team at Medivet Kensington 24 Hour.

This role is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts typically alternating between 8 am – 5pm and 10 am – 7pm with 1 in 4 weekends required.
This role will be supporting a team of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, and Patient Care Assistants.
We believe in exceptional care for both our patients and client. As a Client Care Assistant, you’ll use your excellent customer service skills to welcome and assist clients before, during and after every visit. Although you don’t need to have hands-on experience working with... pets, a love of animals and their welfare is essential.
From handling busy telephone lines and arranging appointments to taking payments, entering test results, and ensuring the consult rooms are fully stocked, you’ll enjoy a busy and varied front-of-house role. You’ll also take ownership of ensuring the reception and waiting areas always look their best.
Prior medical or veterinary administration experience a large advantage but not essential.
This role will be National Living Wage if you’re aged 21 or over. National Minimum Wage if you’re aged under 21 & an additional location uplift of 6%.

Role Accountabilities
Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:
• Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
• Support with operations and procedures.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, including everyday care: walking, toileting and feeding.
• Ensure the completion of all pre and post operation activity.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense any medication required under the guidance of the Veterinary team.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
Your Skills and Experience
• Experience of working as part of a team and building positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Able to provide exceptional care to clients and patients.
• Client care skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Able to prioritise a range of tasks and own workload.
• Flexible and willing to learn.
• An understanding of the purpose and importance of regulation and compliance.
