Arup is helping clients across the global energy industry to shift to low carbon and renewable sources while meeting increasing global demand.?Whether it's structural, civil, urban or advisory – early careers members joining our teams will be empowered to help clients chart a sustainable path forward.
Due to continued growth in our businesses, our London Energy, Water and Resources division is looking to recruit Energy focused Graduate Engineers.
Teams available within Energy:
Urban Energy
Location available... London
Our Urban Energy teams are multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and environmental scientists who focus on the challenges and opportunities of energy, climate change and urban environments. We seek to integrate technical, commercial, planning and policy expertise to help clients make informed decision about their energy consumption, carbon management and technology investments. Our areas of business include:
• Research and modelling of energy use, emissions and related data to inform climate change and sustainability strategies for cities, institutions and the private sector.
• Cost benefit analysis and economic analysis of climate change impacts and interventions.
• Modelling and design of distributed energy systems such as district heating, power generation (including renewables), storage (both electrical and thermal) and microgrids.
• Energy masterplanning, including techno-economic analysis, feasibility assessment of low carbon distributed energy systems.
• Multi-disciplinary strategic planning, policy analysis and advisory for cities, drawing on robust evidence bases and tools.
• Technical advice for investors and developers on low carbon energy investments including business case, commercialisation and procurement.
• Delivery of engineering services to support clients from project concept through design, construction, and operations.
Energy Infrastructure
Location available: London
Our engineers regularly work in partnership with clients to understand their needs and aspirations. We work together with abroad range of specialists to propose innovative technical and economic solutions to complex briefs, making the most challenging of programmes and advance construction techniques possible.
Our Energy Engineers apply their specialist skills to Energy infrastructure projects across the globe. We offer our clients a broad spectrum of expertise and consulting services in, but not limited to the following:
• Hydrogen solutions;
• Carbon Capture Use and Storage;
• Renewable Energy including:
• Wind (fixed and floating)
• Wave;
• Tidal
• Low Carbon solutions as part of the transition pathway.
Our clients include governments, energy developers, energy generators, energy infrastructure and investment companies.
