Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Associate Structural Engineer – Buildings to join a dynamic team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a wide range of challenging and rewarding projects. As an Associate Structural Engineer – Buildings, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and delivery of structural engineering solutions.
Associate Structural Engineer – Buildings Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage structural engineering... projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructure projects.
• Engage directly with clients, attending meetings to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
• Prepare and present proposals, ensuring they meet client requirements and expectations.
• Manage bids and tenders, coordinating with internal teams to deliver compelling and competitive submissions.
• Oversee financial planning for projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on time.
• Drive business development activities, identifying new opportunities and fostering relationships with potential clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and sustainable design solutions.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Associate Structural Engineer – Buildings Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
• Proven experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and design tools.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-facing presence.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Projects:
• Work on a diverse range of projects, including 5-10 storey buildings and larger structures.
• Engage in both residential, education and commercial developments to name a few, ensuring a variety of challenging and rewarding experiences.
