A highly successful and well-established e-commerce business selling sports, fitness, healthcare, safety and pet products is looking for an office-based Purchasing Assistant to join their team.
Along with a salary of up to £30,010.50 per annum, you will also receive 28 days of holiday including bank holidays (rising by a further holiday for each year of service up to 33 days of holiday), regular staff socials funded by the business, weekly McDonald’s breakfasts, free tea and coffee, Friday beers, soft drinks and chocolate, and a staff discount on products!

We require a candidate who can work quickly under pressure whilst remaining organised. The Purchasing Assistant’s role will involve raising purchase orders for stock and liaising with suppliers regarding pricing and stock availability. You will work closely with all areas of the business including Goods Inwards, Dispatch, Customer Services and Accounts.
Location:
This is an office-based role. Our offices are located between Stockwell and Clapham North Underground Stations on the Victoria and Northern Lines. We are an 8-minute walk from both stations. It’s a great location for public transport and a fast commute.
As a Purchasing Assistant your duties will include:
• Raising purchase orders for stock
• Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery times, stock availability and pricing
• Liaising with suppliers to rectify late, short, faulty and incorrect deliveries
• Analysing sales data, patterns and trends
• Negotiating with suppliers; pricing, minimum order quantities, bulk discounts and exclusive promotional activity
• Updating internal systems routinely with product details, attributes, pricing and delivery estimates
• Maintaining up to date supplier pricing
• Managing supplier performance
• Identifying, contacting and onboarding new suppliers
• Liaising regularly with internal departments
• Other ad hoc responsibilities

• Good negotiating skills
• Focus and commercial intelligence
• Basic use of Microsoft Excel

• Must be fluent in English
