This role will assist Facilities Manager through the effective monitoring of all security systems manged from the security control room in the Paddington Office.
This role will not only be limited to monitoring the control room systems but will also be showcasing an approachable and professional demeanour around the VMO2 office and the Landlords lobby areas.
Working with and reporting to the site facilities manager, with a dotted line to the regional security manager, the individual will be overseeing the compliant delivery of all security functions.
These include the monitoring and management of the of the sites security systems IDS, CCTV, Access control and other security Services functions offered by the company to VMO2.
The security officer will conduct good security behaviours in line with ISS and VMO2... expectations including continuous improvement, and ultimately customer satisfaction.

The Role
• To act as the go to person and single point of contact in all elements of security within your defined role as the subject
matter expert, driving a customer focused approach and delivering continual improvement.
• Assist where relevant to maintain strong stakeholder relationships as directed by management.
• To undertake regular reviews of your security systems and to identify recommendations / improvements on all aspects of
security service delivery.
• Support management in the provision of all elements of service provision ensuring you can carry out your role efficiently and effectively.
• To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with other team members working within the office and the Client when appropriate.
• To create and maintain a healthy, safe, secure, and sustainable environment within the office and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and ISS Health and Safety Policy/Procedures.
• Identify and mitigate risks under health and safety to deliver a safe working environment.
• To assist the facilities manager in managing team resources where applicable to maximise efficiency whilst ensuring
operational delivery is not impacted.
• Assist the management team to drive operational excellence.
About You
• Experience working in the Security Operations industry or Police or Military experience
• Strong customer and client focus – have experience in customer facing environment preferable
• Evidence of managing performance and identifying improvements through the use of self-evaluation and applied management data where applicable (appraisal)
• Team Player – 2 years’ experience within a team environment preferably within a contract/security/facilities management team or structured team within a Police or military environment
• Communication – good level written, oral communications skills. An influential communicator, with the ability to deliver clear and concise messages and identify mutually agreeable solutions
• Proven track record of achievement
• Demonstrates experience of co-coordinating security team or services and full awareness of Security related issues
• Able to work out of hours to support service delivery needs as necessary
