The Private Patient Catering Operation Manager will provide a high-quality catering service to patients, staff and visitors, ensuring the team maintain a clean and safe environment in an efficient and safe manner and in accordance with the specification.
Job Description
As Private Patient Catering Operation Manager, you will assist the Key Account Manager in providing strategic direction for the entire food service across private patients.
You will oversee the effective day to day operation across private patient services on site and deputise for the Key Account Manager as required.
The post holder will work alongside the Chefs to participate in effective menu development and merchandising to maximise sales opportunities in line with the Company’s ‘Cutting Edge’ marketing manual.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure the effective delivery of the... catering service within a designated area. Complying with agreed staffing levels, work schedules and appropriate methods of work, ensuring service level agreement and quality standards are met in line with Company and Trust Policies.
• Responsible for the overall production and delivery of a high quality safe food service to staff, visitors and patients including awareness of dietary needs.
• Plan, coordinate and order food requirements using historical data and in accordance with menu cycles.
• Organise and allocate the staff under your control to carry out the catering services within a designated area. Ensure that the work schedule and quality standards are adhered to in line with the specification.
• Complete accurate records for company systems including costings where required, sickness procedures, quality monitoring, training, activity lists and staff performance monitoring.
• The effective supervision, training, motivation, discipline, safety, and general welfare of staff under your control.
• Order, control, monitor and issue food, relevant uniform, equipment, materials and other goods required by the staff under your control to carry out their duties effectively.
• Organise and deliver job related training to meet the needs of new and existing staff to ensure they are adequately trained to carry out their duties in all areas in accordance with the Training Plan.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
• Previous catering experience is essential.
• Basic Food Hygiene training will be provided and must be passed to undertake this role.
• Occupational Health clearance is essential in this post.
