The L&D Trainer is a standalone role dedicated to servicing the learning and development needs of the Education business unit.
Job Description
The post holder will be responsible for managing key L&D workstreams identified annually during the Education strategy review.
While the focus of the role will evolve based on business needs, the current areas of focus include overseeing and developing pathways for employee growth and development within the organisation, ensuring the Learning Management System (LMS) courses are up-to-date, and providing regular reporting on course participation.
Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing induction programs, as well as partnering with central initiatives to cascade within the unit.
Key Responsibilities
• Deploying Placemakers Pathway through self delivery and the upskilling and engagement of the ‘Train-the-trainer’ community
• Provision of... Placemakers ‘Train-the-trainers’ for new members and upskilling opportunities for the existing team through Train-the-trainers’ workshops
• Planning, coordinating and scheduling and hybrid delivery of Placemakers Pathway
• Regular updates and engagement to maximise the uptake of central L&D courses & initiatives
• LMS point of contact for Education acting as the go-to-person for queries from the operational teams/administrators
• Setting up admin access to the LMS system for local management of LMS
• Reporting on LMS compliance, creation and maintenance of Education LMS modules where required
• Food Safety course management – working with operations team to ensure compliance
• Creating and implementing of Education induction programme
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
• Proven experience in a Training role
• Previous experience of managing L&D initiatives is an advantage
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
• Ability to build rapport with employees and stakeholders
• Proficient in IT systems and packages
