As the Yard Marshall, you will play a vital role in directing and overseeing the movement of all vehicles within the estate's yard to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include providing precise, clear directions to drivers entering, exiting, and maneuvering within the yard, as well as overseeing the setup and layout of on-site traffic systems in collaboration with other key stakeholders to promote safe traffic flow.
Key aspects of the role involve effective communication with drivers and yard users, offering guidance, assistance, and clear instructions to facilitate smooth and safe operations.
You will employ signaling techniques in alignment with Health & Safety (Safety Signs and... Signals) regulations, 1996, to guide vehicle movements.
An awareness of risks, such as blind spots, will be crucial, as you’ll need to manage these carefully to maintain safety within the yard.
Additionally, you’ll coordinate the timing of incoming and outgoing vehicles, particularly during peak times, to prevent excessive queuing and ensure seamless yard operations.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, safety-conscious professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing traffic flow in a high-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct vehicle movement in the estates yard to ensure safe traffic flow
