English Teacher – Mitcham

We are seeking for a dedicated English Teacher who is available to commence their next role after the October half-term.

You will need QTS and experience of teaching the English curriculum, ideally up to KS5 although candidates with experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4 will also be considered.

English... Teacher - Key Responsibilities:
• Teach English to students in KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of teaching up to KS5 depending on experience.
• Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that align with the English curriculum, ensuring students make excellent progress.
• Work closely with the English department and colleagues to ensure alignment with the school’s innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
• Uphold strong behaviour for learning, maintaining high expectations and ensuring students meet the school’s high standards.
• Inspire a love for English and help students achieve their academic potential through engaging and effective teaching.
English Teacher - Essential Qualities:
• Proven experience as an English Teacher, with a solid understanding of the English curriculum. Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 is essential, with KS5 experience highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to the school’s values, promoting a positive ethos within the classroom and contributing to the wider school community.
• A passion for teaching and the desire to continue developing your practice in a dynamic, innovative school.
